There was a report on Mathew Oh's site that
some people travelled in 2008 got a messed up I-94
forms( printing bug). So whoever travelled in 2008
may want to have a very good look at their I-94 and
correct it if needed.

Correct and valid I-94 should have 11 digits of I-94 numbers. If your I-94 shows only 9 didits or 10 digits or less than 11 digits, your I-94 card is one of these million's defective cards. The agency is recalling such defective I-94 cards for replacement I-94. Reportedly these defective I-94 cards were issued at the Calgary Airport in Canada and potentially other airports as well. Those who have such defective I-94 should contact Deferred Inspection posts or any Port of Entry for issuance of replacement I-94. Defective I-94 can create a number of problems down the road unless they obtain replacement I-94.

Hello,
My labor certification was filed in December '07 and is in the process of audit (Fragomen law firm issue). Meanwhile, there is news that my company is being sold off. Will I be able to continue my GC process if the company gets sold off but I am able to retain the same job and title.
Is anyone else facing a similar situation? What are my options here?

the 140 was denied because of missing job description from my first employer, it took 5 months for the MTR to be processed.

Hello,
I am working with A on h1b and the visa expires on May 1st 2010.
Recently I got another offer with B and they filed my h1b transfer (regular).
The offer they gave me verbally is different from what's on the offer letter, when I contacted them there insist that they never "promised" , so I did not want to take that offer now.
Can I now ask employer A to file the extension and continue working with A?. Will that create any issues if the transfer with B gets Approved/rejected?. or is there any alternate?. Please help.

Hello everyone,
Can anyone define who (what) are the nonprofit organization that would be the exempts for the regular H1-B Cap?
USIS's website says they are the "institutions of higher education or a related or affiliated nonprofit entity" or "a nonprofit research organization or a governmental research organization."
I understand colleges and governmental organization are included, but what else qualifies for this category? I mean there are millions of nonprofit orgs...from the one that does important research for a state to the one that helps promoting the US. film industry to the one that cleans up streets for free....I'm just so confused.
Any little help would be most appreciated.

During the interview they will ask for photographs, some questions that reflect that you guys are really in a marriage and the flight tickets and amount of time you spend together and then later get your previous paperwork and this paperwork together and then issue a conditional green card for 2 years and later on third year you can apply for citizenship.
My wife is a US citizen and i have applied my green card through her. attended the interview. We live in two different states and often travel to each other place.

Yes you can apply for EAD and AP separetly anytime
The only catch I found out recently is that when you use AP to travel back to US, this may invalidate the H visa and you will need EAD.
I am still not clear of this issue. I applied for EAD few months ago and found out this may be an issue , so have applied for AP (By e-filing) now

I lost my job in January and since I was not able to get a new project. So, returned back to India in May'09. My AP was valid till 21-July-2009. I did not file for extension while in US.
Now, I am getting a job in US and the employer is asking if I could join immdiately. Please let me know:
1. If there is any option for me to renew my AP from India?
2. Any other options, since my H1B got expired (6 years) in May'09.
Note: My EAD is valid till June 2010.
