The answer should be "yes". The job should be offered to foreign national for processing his/her PERM or GC. However, the job can be accepted by FN, only after USCIS authorization. I got a denial, now I am on the appeal process.
I paid premium processing, I dont know if that is the reason of the prompt response after request for evidence

Hi All...
My attorney filed my EAD (mailed) on August 28 this year and last Friday I saw the approval too on USCIS site. Today I decided to help one of my friends with his EAD so I decided to pull the attorney filed copy of my I-765, I noticed that attorney had mentioned "AOS" in Q:15 instead of H1B. I am on H1B and I have never used my EAD... so I am worried now and I don't know what are my options now... Would you please take few minutes of your precious time and help me with the options I may have now to correct this issue?

Hi,
We had been to Canada in Sep, 2003 for our Canadian residency stamping. While on our way back to San Francisco, US immigration did not stamp our passports or take back our I-94's. Prior to this trip we had been to India in March, 2003.
Now I am confused as to what should be our last date/port of entry to US? I-94's/passport stamp still indicates our March, 2003 trip and Our Canadian PR stamp does indicate date PR was stamped in Canada. But there's not other stamp/proof on passport for our entry to San Francisco.
Any pointers/suggestions?

Travel to contiguous territory such as Canada for a period of 30 days or less does not count as last Port of entry because they dont take your I-94 or stamp your passport. Therefore you have to put your Prior trip of March 2003.

Hello everybody,
My wife who is on H4 was denied admission to a masters in accounting program due to lack of work experience. Other factors (GPA/GMAT scores) were allright according to a professor at the university! Does anybody know how/where she can get some experience (voluntary/unpaid/intership). We have already looked at craigslist job listing in the non-profit sector and not many people are looking to hire even if its unpaid:eek: We reside in Raleigh/NC and was wondering if someone in this forum has some insight as to how we can move forward.

In the US, attorney ethics rules vary somewhat from state to state. In most states, you are clearly entitled to all substantive materials contained in your case file. Unless the retainer/fee agreement clearly obligates you to pay for copying costs in this circumstance, the law firm should give you the documents you want without charge.

i ran my first ad..this sunday..and my lawyer didnt say a thing abt change in perm process.. but he did mention that Eb2 are being scrutinized more.

I applied my labor as Software Engineer and BEC approved it with a code of Mechanical Engineer. I got it changed, but took me a year though. They kept my change request until the end when they were ready to shutdown BEC.
I probably go ahead and use what in the approved labor certificate. by the way how do I find exact job-code that I used in the I-140.

Sorry you cannot claim. You have been a resident of GA, so rent/meals/commutation/laundry cannot be claimed as deductions in Tax return. You never had a home in NY/NJ. You will surely be a RED flag for IRS. Dont do wrong things to get some money. State the truth and be satisfied of the tax return you get.
However, you can surely ask your employer to give a part of your salary as expense reimbursement, which is legal.
Trust me, you get more tax return here in US, than in India.
